Angela_Bassett
Angela Evelyn Bassett (born April 15, 1961) is an American actress. Her work has been recognized for TV and film from the mid-80s onwards, she has received various accolades such as two Golden Globe Awards and sixteen NAACP Image Awards in addition to nominations for two Academy Awards and seven Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett was raised by her aunt in Winston Salem, North Carolina. She was born and raised at home in New York New York. Her mother split with her father at around five. Her younger sister then relocated into St. Petersburg Florida with their mother. Bassett was inspired to become an actor after watching the stage play Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, starring James Earl Jones. Yale University New Haven Connecticut was where she earned her bachelor's in African American and master's degrees (1983). While at Yale she came across Courtney B. Vance a fellow actor and the two were married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. Bachelor of Arts (Afro-American Studies) in the year 1980. The Master of Fine Arts (Drama) from Yale School of Drama School.
